Session Two:  July 10th through July 14th
Session Three:  July 31st through August 4th

Session One:
THEME:  “For the love of Animals”
This camp is designed for the students who love to paint animals.  We will delve into form & shading.  Colour theory will be expanded to include a more natural (sophisticated) colour palette.  And we will develop our physical and visual TEXTURE!

Session Two:
THEME:  “Streeeeeeetch Images!”
We will explore unconventional compositions on Long/Tall / “Skinny” canvases.  Intentional distortion of images will be explored.  Students will choose their own subject matter, and learn how to adapt it to these unusual formats.
Session Three:
THEME:  “Large Painting Adventures”
Students will embark upon a creative journey from start to finish on a large gallery style stretched canvas.  To guide us on this adventure, we will discuss composition, advanced layering techniques, reintroduce palette knife painting, and review colour theory.

Quote of the day:
“The local painters were my idols...These artists, too, were grown ups who could still see!
Their eye was still in love! Like mine!” Frederick Franck
