Michelle Shook will arrived at Nathan Phillips Square Thursday on her bike, with her entire show in tow! She will unloaded eight large paintings (see images below) and her display canopy from an enormous bike trailer!

“This summer I was inspired by a field of wind turbines on the Gaspe Peninsula.” explains Michelle Shook.
“The paintings that were born from this experience bear an environmental message that needed to be honoured by transporting them on my bike.”

Michelle Shook set up a bold display of her new oil painting series depicting wind turbines. By transposing her icons into a diverse array of landscapes, ranging from eerie to picturesque, Shook invites her audience to find hope and beauty in an alternative energy source. Shook will continue to explore and expand this series throughout the winter ~ aiming toward a large show in Toronto in the New Year.
